BDH Update: The Doctor’s on call at Sandown…

Time for the Doctor to strut his stuff!

Quick post today guys as we have one BDH runner going to war for us…

BDH runner: 2:20 Sandown – DOCTOR PARKES

The 7yo is making a relatively quick return from his Chester run last Saturday but in fairness jockey Harry Bentley eased up a touch on him in the final furlong and he didn’t really have an overly hard race that day.

He should get his ground at Sandown today as the going is currently described as Good and a quick look at the weather forecast tells me it is set fair for the day, in fact it looks like the sun will be out in all his glory. Providing that weather forecast is correct (!?!) then I would expect the ground to firm up rather than soften down, which is ideal for the Doctor. He has a prime draw in the 2 box (actually the hottest box over this trip at Sandown in these fields sizes), is on a decent mark, is racing over his preferred 5f and the yard are hitting form. He is also currently available at an each-way price, if you are that way inclined.

There are enough boxes ticked here for me to get involved although, as always, I will be keeping a close eye on the weather to make sure there is no unexpected rain coming in to spoil the day.

Best of luck if you are getting involved.

    • Fair point David but not as much a concern as it would be if over 6f. Hopefully won’t hinder him too much over the minimum trip and he has won on very undulating tracks over 5f in the past.

      Cheers – Ben (BDH)

      • I wish I could say something clever and witty but will Thank you very much do? Regards David Scammell

  1. am looking forward to this ben, hopefully a good run for our money! Drumlinster for summer jumpers must take all the beating in the 6.40 as well, at a reasonable price of 3/1, given his form.

    • Hi Josh

Yeah very hopeful of a good run from the Doctor. Money seems to be coming for him now as well. As Peter mentioned in the comments section on the last post the yard do like a gamble so may well be their money that is getting on.

Drumlister looks to have a good opening this evening, I’m sure he has more than a few lbs up his sleeve….

      Cheers – Ben (BDH)

    • Hi Chris

Wouldn’t be without a chance from that draw. No doubt there is at least a couple in with a chance in this one. not the greatest race on show but a few in with chances…

      Cheers – Ben (BDH)

  6. I have only ever subscribed to two services, yours and winningtrainers 2.0 (suffice to say about which I make no comment). I win about 200 points a year using my own methods but your site has enbled me to double this average. Doctor, well done!

  7. Another win that echoes your style of picking those horses that just get under the “radar” – I just love this approach.

    cheers

    Ian

    • Hi Ian

Can’t beat a bit of ‘under the radar’ action, been a strong part of punting profile for a long time. Glad you enjoy the approach mate.

      Cheers – Ben (BDH)

    • Hi John

Two keys to successful punting right there my friend. Not easy to master but a must to have in your locker.

      Many thanks for your comment

  8. Many thanks for that Ben, you made me and my 95 year old neighbour, a lifelong racing enthusiast, very happy.
